End of 7th grade

The kids have really reached the age where they don’t change that much from the beginning of school to the end of school but I still like to take their pictures on the first and last day. And hopefully one day they will appreciate it!  When I mentioned to Justin that he wore the same shirt on both days, he told me that he did that on purpose because it was his favorite shirt.

Both kids did great this year in school.  And we are so proud of both of them!!
Jennifer struggled her first semester with taking online classes for the first time. Spanish 3 wasn’t a big deal online but AC Math 2 was very hard to take as an online class.  She worked really hard on it, and ended up with a very high C. While that is not normally something I would be happy with, we were all excited and happy with a C as a final grade in that class. We were all SOOO happy to see that class come to an end. She did Math every chance she had and it was just an awful experience for all of us.
Her second semester she had to take 2 more online classes – AP World History and Spanish 3B. She did great in both of them, as well as her in-school classes.  Her goal was all A’s for the second semester to bring her GPA back up –and she did it!!! So proud of you Jennifer! And this was even during a semester where she went away on a mission trip for a week and had 2 different plays as well as a dance concert.
Justin had perfect attendance this whole school year again!  That always amazes me!! He got straight A’s ALL YEAR long with the exception of one B at the beginning of the year where the teacher changed the grade at the last minute.  He was invited to attend the 8th grade honors night (even though he is in 7th grade!),  We weren’t sure why…but he was pretty sure that meant he got a perfect score in some area on the CRCT.  He was really hoping to make a perfect score on the Social Studies portion of the CRCT but wasn’t sure.  It turns out that he made a PERFECT score on two portions….Social Studies and Science!! Way to go Justin!! We are super proud of you!! And when he got his report card, it was all A’s . The LOWEST grade he got on anything was 95-WOW!!!

Both kids finished the year with a bang!! 7th grade and 10 grade…we bid you farewell!!
