Happy Halloween

Halloween was different this year as neither “kid” wanted to dress up. Justin ended up being a soccer player (with his own uniform) and Jennifer ended up dressing at the last minute to scare trick-or-treaters.  Justin went trick-or-treating with Gabby this year, and this was the first time I hadn’t taken him around myself. Another milestone of growing up!! Ugh!!

North GA trip

We took a trip to North GA to see the beautiful Fall colors.  We drove around a lot starting with having a picnic on the side of 575 of Zaxbys at a lookout area.  Then we drove up to Vogel State Park and walked to the waterfall.  Jake went with us and had a great time walking the trails.  We stopped at a fun area with a fudge shop and had a great dinner on the river on the way home. 

 

Justin, Jennifer, and Dale walked down in the waterfall. And Jake wanted to go down there with them so badly.

They were having a big festival with square dancing at Vogel when we got there. The kids didn’t want to join in the fun.

 

There were lots of dogs there so we had to use the Gentle Leader for a little bit.

Jennifer climbed up on this log and looked in and YELLED and JUMPED when she saw a snake. We all thought it was so funny!

This was the fun place we stopped at. The kids had a blast walking around seeing everything and playing.

I love the fact that the kids can still have fun despite being a teen and pre-teen.

They had lots of swings and we each picked our favorite.

Jake wasn’t bothered by that bear at all.
