White Water/Six Flags fun

Jennifer got a Six Flags pass this year in addition to her White Water pass with her own money.  It turned out to be a great deal because of the free passes that came with it. She didn't get to go as many times as we thought she might, but she got her money's worth. We even went one time just the two of us to see a special show in between activities.   This was Justin’s last year to get to participate in the reading program so he earned his free ticket.

We took Brandon and Courtney with us this week and had a blast as always.

As for White Water, we went many times as usual.  This year, we met some of our soccer friends there several times and the boys had a blast hanging out together off the soccer fields.  It was also a treat for the moms to relax by the pool with a good book and friends while the boys went to ride all the rides and swim all day and search for money in the bottom of the pool. They even found enough money one day to split a popcorn and coke.

I rarely ever have pictures from White Water, but we have so many happy  memories there with friends and each other.  Good times indeed!

Little Mermaid

Jennifer was thrilled to be a part of the Little Mermaid at Elm Street Arts this summer.  She played the part of Princess Amethyst, Arielle's sister.  She loved being a princess mermaid!!

The princess mermaids participated in a tea party and that combined Jennifer's 2 favorites...little kids and acting!! The girls next door came and had tea with Jennifer.

Jennifer and Sara

One of the best memories that Jennifer had occured after one of her last performances.  Her friends Jordan and Courtney came to the play and then the 3 of them hung out in downtown Woodstock to have lunch and do some shopping.  While they were out and about, Jennifer got recognized several times by kids. One little girl asked if she was a mermaid. Jennifer replied "yes....yes I am" with a big smile on her face.  Then in one of the shops, a little boy recognized her and brought her over and introduced her to his whole family by name.  What a joy!!

She also finally made it on the news as her character in this play...but that is a different post.

This was her first summer play, but I don't expect it to be her last!

King Tritan and his girls

For the first time, Denise and Lori and Michelle and Ansley got to come see one of Jennifer's plays.  What a special treat for Ansley and Jennifer!!

They also performed a daytime show for the summer campers and had a Q&A after the show for the boys and girls participating in the summer camp at the theater.   This was them answering the kid's questions.

Zoo fun

The other day, we decided to take some friends and go to the zoo one last time before our season passes were up.

Jennifer took Deanna and Justin took Mason.  We all packed a picnic and enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo marveling over God’s animals.

Father's Day

Dad and Me

What a fun day we had celebrating our Dads this year! What is not to love about a beautiful day at the lake with family?!? We all went up to Dad and Sarah's lakehouse and spent the day enjoying the weather, the beautiful lake, the boat, waverunner, and each other.

Hold on buddy!

When it started getting later in the afternoon and the sun was not so hot, Dad, Sarah, Brian, Deena, and I went for the most relaxing boat ride ever. We saw these birds and the lake was just gorgeous and quiet and peaceful.....

until the boys showed up zooming by on the waverunner. :)

They coasted along side of us for a while until Dale started getting bored....
and then they waved bye and zoomed off again.....
When we got back to the dock, Owen had decided to take a turn on the waverunner.

After we got home, the kids gave Dale his gift they had made for him.

Luckily, he shared the candy with his favorite wife and kids.  They had fun making it and even more fun tearing it up to eat it.
