Winter Break

We thoroughly enjoyed our first ever (and possibly last ever!) Winter Break.  The weather was absolutely fantastic and we got to enjoy a lot of outdoor time which was a nice change after our LONG COLD ICY SNOWY Winter.

Monday was the second half of Jennifer's sleepover and working on taxes-Fun!!

We had our CPA appt to get our taxes done on Tuesday, so it was work before play until then.  After that was done, the kids and I and Jake picked up my Mom while she was getting her car worked on and we went to Swift-Cantrell Park. We brought a blanket and just relaxed in the sunshine, and walked some. We also brought the soccer ball and Justin's new kite.  We were able to fly Justin's kite somewhat but needed a little more wind, so we will have to try it again.  We had a great time just hanging out together.  Then that dinner, we all went to dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate Jennifer's acceptance into Pebblebrook's PA program.

On Wednesday, we were able to go visit the triplets who are growing so much. They are about 18 months now and walking around like big boys.  Mom went with us and we even kept them for a while while Kellie went to pick Brayden up.  That evening Jennifer went to dinner with Mom and Bill to see Ansley(my niece's little girl who lives in Washington DC).  It was a spectacular day for Jennifer filled with her favorite little ones.

On Thursday, we went to the lake to hang out with Dad and Sarah for a while and it was nice and quiet and relaxing up there as there was NO ONE there. The lake is very low, so the kids used the metal detector and tried to find all kinds of treasures. They were able to find some little "treasures" here and there on the shoreline. Then, Jennifer was going to spend the night with a friend from CFT, so we dropped her off on our way home. We hadn't been home from dinner very long when I got a call from Jennifer that she wasn't feeling well. I ended up going to get her and bring her home.  She was 35 minutes away, but the best Mom in the world rushed to get her baby and bring her home. She was sick that whole evening, but better the next day. And while I never got it fully, I didn't feel good the next couple of days either.

Friday, Jennifer just layed on the couch all day. I worked some and Justin went to Blake's house to play with him.  Then he had a soccer party that evening where they watched a soccer game with the coach.  Jennifer had a birthday party on Saturday night.

Overall, we just had a nice, relaxing break with not too much going on.  We LOVED the pretty weather and the kids spent lots of time on the trampoline with their friends.  We had ordered a new net, but the kids loved having it off so they got to jump all week without a net.  And they all agree that you can jump much higher without a net on. :) I did realize that the pictures are much better without the net too!!

Jennifer just loves this picture where she looks like she is jumping as high as Justin is tall
