Last year a new stadium opened near where we live for the nearby college (KSU) and the women's professional soccer team, the Atlanta Beat. We had hoped to get to a game last year, but it just didn't happen.
So, when one of the parents of a girl on Jennifer's soccer team got a bunch of free tickets, we jumped on the opportunity. We had been to a men's soccer game, but had not been to a women's soccer game. About half of Jennifer's team joined us. The stadium was SUPER empty, but it was Easter after all.
We watched the game and talked to our friends and had a good time just hanging out. Then after the game, the girls went to get autographs. Justin joined in the fun and got some too. The ladies were SOO accommodating and appreciative, and the girls had a great time meeting the players. Jennifer got 11 autographs and Justin got 8 autographs. Jennifer was most excited about meeting the goalie(her position) whose name was Allison (HER middle name!) and was number 18 (HER number!!). We also met the team owner who signed everyone's stuff.
We had a great time!! The weather was absolutely perfect and a great time was had by all. Parking was free in addition to the game. And it was sooo easy to get there and get home!! We definitely would like to go again sometime and urge you to go support our local team as well.
