Jennifer has reported to us many times that all of her friends have had surprise parties but she had never been surprised. Jennifer had school on her 15th birthday so we decided to surprise her somewhat. She knew that we were having a family birthday dinner for our immediate family but she didn't know that her extended family would be there as well. Dale went to pick her up after school and brought her back to the house with everyone hiding to yell "SURPRISE". Then they drove past the house and drove down the street. Jennifer had asked Dale if she could drive down the street and so he let her....while we all waited. When she finally came in, we yelled SURPRISE and she was actually surprised.
It was a nice evening celebrating the birth of our special little girl who was growing up.
We also had her friend party a few nights later by going over to Mimi's house for dinner and cake and hot tub time with the girls. Then they came back to our house for a sleepover. Jennifer planned everything and they all had a great time.
Jennifer was unable to go get her learner's license for several weeks because she was so busy with plays and school. But we went at our first available time, and she passed with flying colors. She only missed one question on the whole written test!
This was her first time behind the wheel (legally anyways!) Happy Birthday Jennifer our princess!! We love you and are so proud of you!!!
