Naturally, we had a great time on vacation in a beautiful place with my Mom & Bill. We had a very beautiful place at Edgewater beach Resort. They have like 7 pools, although we only made it to a couple. A week goes by fast in a place like this. We played games at night and played in the ocean and pools during the day. The guys and my Mom played some golf. We took the kids parasailing for the first time. Jennifer and I parasailed together and Dale & Justin parasailed together. We went up 600 ft and each had one dip in the ocean. The kids loved it!! Me too, of course. It was my first time since I was a teenager and I was very excited that it was so much easier now than it was back then. And we got to ride a banana boat out to the parasailing boat.
One day we rented a pontoon boat and cruised the intracoastal waterway. We went out to Shell Island where we had a picnic and the kids snorkeled. We were searching for dolphins all afternoon, and saw one from a distance but didn't have much luck with the dolphins. We did however, see 2 very large stingrays that we chased into deeper water. We walked to the other side of Shell Island where the waves were really big and the water was just beautiful!! We all had a great time playing in the ocean, except for Bill who napped in the boat waiting for us.
The kids made their first tie-dye shirts on this trip and they turned out really well. It was fun to do, but ruined my new white cover-up when the wind blew a piece of paper on me. :( Looks like I will be changing my white cover-up to a tie dye cover-up.
Every evening I tried to see the sunset, but a piece of the building blocked my view or the clouds. So, one evening we went to the beach and I got some beautiful pictures that were the closest thing I got to see a sunset. We also buried Jennifer in the sand standing vertically.
And lastly, we had a photoshoot on the beach one morning. We got some really good pictures that I posted in the last blog post. If you have 4 minutes and 21 seconds, here are the rest of the pictures from our trip:
