Sky Valley

We had not been to Sky Valley in several years and decided to join Mom, Bill, and Aunt Carroll up there for Memorial Day.  We normally spend the night but it just didn't work out this year so we drove up early that morning and came home late that night. We enjoyed our full day up there though!

The day before Memorial Day, we went over to the Koehlers for a pool party and cookout and Jordan ended up coming home with us to spend the night and join us for our Sky Valley trip. Courtney already had plans so she couldn't come.

We all got up early and headed to Krispy Kreme on our way out for breakfast. That always gets us started out right! :)  And the lady actually pulled the doughnuts RIGHT off the assembly line where they were super hot and melted in our mouths!!

After we got up there, we went around doing some of our favorite things at Sky Valley.

We went to the playground where the kids used to have so much fun!!

Justin was being super silly for his pictures!

What pretty girls!!

We have always gotten our pictures on this big rock right outside of the condo. The foliage has really grown up around it, but we still got the "rock" pictures.

That is the condo in the rear of the picture.
Then we went to the pool and fitness center.  We ended up just working out and not going to the pool.

And then, of course, we had to go see the waterfalls.

Jordan is not used to being in the woods at all, so this was a real treat for her.  This was the first time for her playing in the creek and jumping rock to rock.  My kids have grown up doing it, but it was a special treat for her.

We also cooked out hotdogs and hamburgers and played games with Mom, Bill, Aunt Carroll and their friends who were there at the same time. The kids went walking around and Jennifer and Jordan walked back from the fitness center all the way to the condo-its quite a hike up mountainous roads.

All in all, we had a great short trip and made the most of the time we had.  We love Sky Valley!!
