North GA trip

We took a day this month to head up north to see the beautiful leaves and enjoy some Fall fun in the north GA mountains.

The leaves weren’t at their peak but they were really pretty. We stopped on the way up at a BBQ restaurant where the owner is a client of Dale’s.  Then we headed up to the highest point in GA – Brasstown Bald. Once we got up the mountain, we were in a cloud.  It was really cold up there and we weren’t really dressed for it.  IMG_5505IMG_5508IMG_5512IMG_5513IMG_5516IMG_5517IMG_5519

These pictures are on top where you normally see the mountains but all you could see was clouds.

We walked up the mountain, which was a pretty good hike. But at least it got our blood pumping so we weren’t so cold.

After we left there, the kids really wanted to go to Helen. While we were scared it would be super packed, we decided to try it and it wasn’t so bad since they are now doing Octoberfest all weekends in October.

We got there and decided to do a horse-drawn carriage around the town.  It was really fun!

The girls loved this carriage but the boys thought it was too girly, so we got a regular one.

This mime was really neat and Justin gave him some money to watch him move.

We walked around shopped and had fun hanging out in Helen.

We ended up having dinner down on the river in a near little spot:

And I loved this:
