Then Dale's birthday was Saturday. He and Justin went to play golf at Cobblestone and he shot the best 9 holes ever and that was while talking to me on the phone a couple of times. Jennifer had a youth lock-in at church from noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday. Then we went to Mom and Bill's for Dale's birthday dinner. Everyone played dominoes after dinner and then Dale went to pick up his birthday present- a waverunner!!
On Sunday, we went to church and I helped Mary with her Sunday School Class. She does such a great job with these kids and has a couple of challenging kids. But she also has some really sweet kids!!! And we even had 2 new people in our adult Sunday School class. One bit of sad news though was that our minister of music announced his resignation. I just love him and his family so much and hate to see them leave. They are a blessing to so many people and have touched our lives in ways they will probably never know. Love ya Steve and Robin!!
After Sunday School, we all headed to our house to change clothes and go to my Dad's lakehouse. We ended up having the Gowders, the Koehlers, Mom & Bill, and Tony & Tina and their kids. 22 of our best friends and family got to play all day on the lake. We grilled out and had cake and ice cream and rode the waverunner and pulled kids on tubes all day. The weather was great and everyone had a great time. We tried to go on Dad's new boat but the boat overheated and we had to use Dale's new waverunner to tow us back to the dock. But we still had a great time. Here is a video for those interested in watching. Please click on the picture to see the video. Thanks to all who went and helped make Dale's birthday special. We love ya!
