Dale's Bday

For Dale's Bday this year, we celebrated by going out to eat with my parents on Saturday night. We went to Carraba's Italian Grill. It was delicious!!

Then on Sunday, we went to church. After church, we headed to the lake. We had invited the Koehler's to join us with their boat and they did. We grabbed some Subway sandwiches and then changed clothes and grabbed Jake, the cooler, and the waverunner and headed to Dad and Sarah's place. 

We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the day. We were worried about the weather, but it turned out to be beautiful!! 

Brandon and Courtney learned to ski today. Way to go guys!! Jennifer tried 3 times but didn't get up. Maybe next time!! And Justin tried once and gave up.  Oh well!! They say they have no desire to ski.  But they sure enjoy tubing!!

For Dale's bday dinner, Sarah made BBQ sandwiches, and all the sides to go with it. Then we had cheesecake for the bday cake.  Yummy!!

Donnie skiied today too. He is in awesome shape for a 68 year old man. After skiing for a while on 2 skis, he decided to try to slalom. He gave it a few attempts but wasn't able to get up today. We always enjoy his company up there. 

And the kids got the rafts out to play on today. Justin had a "Water taxi" where he would pick people up. He got really good at controlling it.  Here, he is picking up a customer.

At one point, all the kids were on the little raft. They looked like stowaways! :)

Dale actually has tennis elbow from riding the wave runner so much (and so hard!!) But I was able to get some pics of him since I was on the boat for a while today.

And this is the girl's tubing together.  Jennifer says that she remembers them tubing together when they were little. Although I remember taking them out, I don't know that I remember them tubing. But they had a blast today.
