Week after Christmas

As always, I just love the week after Christmas when almost all of our activities are cancelled and we can stay home and just hang out. We get time to enjoy our new gifts, and work on a puzzle. This is usually the only time during the year that we have time to do a puzzle, so we take advantage of it.  I don't worry so much about the house, and we just relax.

This year, we watched a lot of movies. We are really enjoying our new DVR where we can record movies that come on TV and then watch them later and can  fast forward through the commercials.

This week, we played a lot with our new keyboard. The kids and I learned to play heart and soul on the keyboard which is a 2 person melody.  Anytime someone starts playing the lower notes, someone else will run from whereever they are in the house to jump in and play the higher notes.  If I do say so myself, we have gotten pretty good at that song.  And Jennifer even made up her own song, which sounds very pretty.

We had several NERF wars with the new NERF guns that Justin got this year. We played some of our new (and some of the old) games.

Of course, we did have the snow this week which was an added bonus surprise. And we went to several movies with friends this week at the theater.

Jake is loving his new bed.  And he is enjoying all the time with the family at home and hanging out with us. He fits into our family quite well relaxing on his new bed.
