Dog training classes started today!

We have been counting down the days until today-the day we finally get to start dog training. Jake is really doing quite well for a 3 1/2 month old puppy. He rings the bell when he needs to go out to potty, sits, stays, comes, lies down, plays fetch, dances, shakes hands, releases things upon command and is learning to leave-it. But we are still having quite a difficult time with getting him to close his mouth. He nips, mouths, and bites everything, including us. So,we are excited to get that under control. We learned a few things today and will start practicing what we learned. Jake was the youngest dog in the class and probably gave her the hardest time but overall he did pretty good. She said he seemed a little on the shy side (which I find really hard to believe) but she also noticed that he had a bit of an attitude. (YEAH!!). It will be interesting to watch how he changes during this class. He really had not been around that many other dogs yet so it was a little overwhelming for him at first. I'll keep you posted.
