We finally made it to Christmas break!! Yeah!! Now that Jennifer is in middle school, they don't do Christmas parties anymore. But she did have an awesome field trip this week. In Literature, they read "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. So, they went to the IMAX theater and saw the new "Christmas Carol" that just came out this Christmas. Then they watched other fun Christmas movies at school today. She went to school early for a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party with FCA. She said it was the best party ever!
But Justin had two parties this week. Yesterday, he had his Target party. They all brought in their favorite snacks and made a Christmas craft. Mrs. H has been with this group since they started Target in Kindergarten and does a great job with them. Here are a few pics from the party: They are all dressed up because they had a concert that morning with their recorders.
Then today they had the classroom party. Several parent showed up to help out. Justin's class just got their SMARTBOARD this week, so that was definitely their Christmas present. We gave all of his teachers a large mug made for teachers with hot tea packets and a big "Santa" bag to put all their goodies in. They had breakfast goodies and made a couple of crafts. Then they went and watched the older "Christmas Carol" movie.
We are all looking forward to getting some much needed rest and enjoying friends and family during this special time where we celebrate Christ's birth.
