Goin' green

Justin's school is having a focus on going green with some special things they are doing. They had a big kickoff and he came home excited and wanted us to "go green". We have been working on filling his bag with recyclables. We filled it up, he took it to school and then brought it home again to refill. Justin came up with the grand idea to have a "go green" race with his new truck he got for Christmas. He put a go green sign on his remote control truck and made tickets with numbers on it for all of us. We had the race, where Jennifer and I chanted "Go Green!!" and the Go green truck won-can you believe it?!? Then there was a drawing where Jennifer's ticket won so she got to come meet the driver in the winner's circle.

She played the part up to the hilt. A second drawing was done where my ticket was drawn and I "won" a hug and kiss from Justin. Needless to say, I wasn't upset at all that I didn't win first place! It was fun to go green!
